This is the second board in a series.  It is a new style of cutting board that I am working on.  The board itself measures 12″x18″ and is a full 2 1/4″ thick.  It is extremely heavy duty and weighs nearly 12 lbs.  If you look closely, you will see that hidden within the rock maple is a cross hair of purple heart.  I also matched the purple heart in the feet that are installed on the bottom.  Purple heart is an extremely durable, exotic hardwood that finishes out beautifully.  I wanted this cutting board to be sleek, yet heavy, and have a presence in the kitchen.  The feet on the bottom are different from my signature cutouts, but seemed more appropriate in this design.  With care, this board will last a lifetime.  Thanks for viewing.
